Dog Bites

While pets add love and companionship to our lives, they also carry with them great responsibilities regarding their care and safety. When pet owners fail to live up to those responsibilities, the consequences can be grim. Animal attacks often lead to serious and permanent scarring and disfigurement, and can even be fatal depending on the type of animal involved and the age and health condition of its victim. Pet owners are subject to strict liability when their animals attack others, meaning that owners are automatically negigent for the injuries to the victim.  Most accidents involving pets are covered by homeowners insurance so that the victim of such an attack can recover money damages for the visible inuries sustained, as well as money for all of the pain and suffering and mental scars associated with those injuries.

Never deal directly with insurance companies on your own following an accident, as the insurance company does not have your best interests in mind. Also, never accept a monetary settlement or even payment of medical bills from a homeowner without first speaking to our office, as you could forever give up your right to bring a claim from the incident.

Before speaking to any insurance company or signing any legal documents, contact Mr. Weitz to ensure your rights are protected. Know your rights! Call Jeremy Weitz!
